Pixi, whose flagship store resides in Westminster, London, prides themselves on being a brand who offer “an innovative range of make-up and skin care multi-taskers”.
Let’s start with the best product first.
PIXI GLOW TONIC £18
I’ve spied reviews of the Pixi Glow Tonic floating around for a while. And sweet mother of Dumbledore the reviews were right. This stuff is magic. If we were in some kind of post-apocalyptic scenario – one where great skin was crucial for survival – I would fight you for this Glow Tonic TO THE DEATH.
I’ll be honest. Some nights, when I’m feeling lazy, I’ll think ‘meh, I don’t need to use the Glow Tonic tonight, my skin is k’.
I am wrong.
I am always wrong.
Because whenever I use this stuff, I awake looking like Beyonce herself. A subtle glow and all round brighter complexion.
What Pixi say:
Instantly refreshing, this gorgeous glow-giver brightens, tones and conditions your skin after cleansing.
I agree with everything above and more. It’s so easy to use too. A quick splash onto a cotton pad, applied after micellar water and this stuff gets to work. By the time the morning rolls around, my skin looks brighter, more even and – this is really important – it’s receptive to make up.
The Pixi Glow Tonic, if you haven’t tried it already, is worth every penny of the £18.
Quite frankly I’d pay double.
PIXI ROSE OIL BLEND £26
This stuff I picked up on a whim.
I’ll be honest, I just really like the smell of rose. I know everyone thinks it’s an elderly scent, but to me, anything rose scented just smells like the most scrumptious Turkish Delight. The Pixi Rose Oil Blend is no exception. It smells incredible – it was love from the moment I looked both ways and opened it without the store assistant catching me.
What Pixi say:
A delectable silky serum, this stunning Rose Oil Blend is infused with a powerful complex of youth-boosting oils to enhance elasticity and leave your skin luminous.
I agree with the luminous part. Although smothering your face in oil can be tricky business – the idea is to glow, not be a shiny mess. My tip is to only use a tinnnyy amount.
I go with two drops and mostly work it into the apples of my cheeks.
Works a charm. It’s great at adding some hydration to otherwise lacklustre skin.
